Astro A50X Gaming Headset: cool features, but expensive

Logitech’s New Astro A50X Headset Offers Major Upgrades

Every year, headset manufacturers like Razer, Steelseries, and HyperX release incremental upgrades to their designs, focusing on improving audio quality and battery life. However, Logitech’s latest headset, the Astro A50X, is offering something more drastic.

The docking station comes with HDMI and USB-C inputs, making it compatible with PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo consoles. Additionally, it features a USB-C port for power and PC connection, as well as an HDMI 2.1 output capable of 4K 120Hz passthrough.

Seamless Swapping Between Inputs

Setting up the A50X required a significant time investment, but the ability to seamlessly swap between inputs on the TV made it worth the effort. However, the console needs to be powered on via its respective controller before making the switch for it to work properly.

Wireless Versatility

Alternatively, the A50X can be paired with mobile devices, the Nintendo Switch, or PlayStation via Bluetooth, although input swapping is not available in this mode.
