CD Projekt RED has “always had a clear position” on acquisitions, says CEO Adam Kiciński
CD Projekt RED (CDPR) has once again denied rumors of a potential acquisition, emphasizing its desire to remain independent. The gaming studio has been at the center of discussions regarding industry consolidations, particularly with reports of Sony’s interest in acquiring CDPR.
Although CDPR has refuted any talks with Sony, documents disclosed earlier this year revealed that Microsoft had shown genuine interest in acquiring the developer.
CEO Adam Kiciński assured that CDPR is protected against a hostile takeover, stating, “We are not interested in being included in any larger entity. We believe that in a few years we will be even bigger and stronger.”
