Rebel Wolves Welcomes Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz as New Creative Director
The recently established game development studio Rebel Wolves has made an exciting addition to its team by appointing Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz as the new creative director. With this new hire, the future of the studio looks promising and full of potential.
Tomaszkiewicz, known for his work as quest director on Cyberpunk 2077 and lead quest designer on The Witcher 3 during his almost 13-year tenure at CD Projekt Red, has now joined Rebel Wolves. In addition, he has also served as the principal narrative designer on the upcoming League of Legends-universe MMO at Riot Games.
“It’s great to join many of my old-time friends and meet new ones. I can’t wait for everyone to see what the team has been up to for quite a while now,” Tomaszkiewicz shared in a post on LinkedIn to announce his new role at the studio.
Expressing his vision for the future, Tomaszkiewicz stated, “There are so many fantastic RPGs out there today. However, I feel that there’s not only enough space but also a hunger among players for more captivating stories. We aim to deliver an experience that will allow for a variety of choices and room for experimentation when replayed. Helping craft this experience with so many talented people will be my mission at Rebel Wolves, and I can’t wait for everyone to see what the team has been building.”
Rebel Wolves boasts a team of developers who have previously worked on renowned titles such as The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, with Tomasz Tinc, the chief publishing officer, being one of them. The studio is currently working on an ambitious AAA story-driven RPG saga that is in development for PC and next-gen consoles, hopefully including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Further details about the RPG and its release date are yet to be announced.
