Exciting News: SMITE 2 Sequel Announced
Titan Forge Games has officially announced the upcoming release of SMITE 2, a highly anticipated sequel to the popular MOBA game, SMITE. The new game is set to bring significant changes that promise to elevate the gaming experience for both new and existing players. SMITE 2 will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and alpha testing sign-ups are currently open for interested players.
Evolution of SMITE 2
One of the most exciting aspects of SMITE 2 is the transition to Unreal Engine 5, which will enable Titan Forge to revolutionize the game while preserving the essence of the original. The beloved 5v5 team battle format will remain intact, but players can expect the following enhancements:
- Enhanced combat experience through refined camera movements and ability animations
- Rebuilt abilities with stunning visual FX, delivering awe-inspiring attacks and ultimates
- Modernized UI design to improve combat clarity
- Updated character animations for a more fluid and natural combat experience
- Integration of haptic feedback for the DualSense controller to maximize immersion
Additionally, SMITE 2 will introduce a new item purchasing system that allows any God to buy items using Strength or Intelligence, offering more flexibility and customization. Active Abilities for items, formerly known as Relics, will also be available to players.
Furthermore, players who have dedicated time to the original SMITE will be rewarded in SMITE 2, as all previous game progress will be carried over. Legacy Gems, earned through gameplay, can be used to offset the cost of new purchases, and the Divine Legacy system will recognize players’ achievements and provide exclusive rewards.
