Final Fantasy 14’s Endwalker patch cycle is coming to an end, with just one more update left to go. Patch 6.55 is on the horizon and will be the final update for Endwalker to include any significant content.
Below, we’ll cover the launch timing for FFXIV’s patch 6.55 update and discuss the content that players can expect.
When does FFXIV patch 6.55 release and come back online?
FFXIV’s patch 6.55 will be available for play starting on Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the following times:
- 2 a.m. PST for the West Coast of North America
- 5 a.m. EST for the East Coast of North America
- 10 a.m. GMT for the U.K.
- 11 a.m. CET for west mainland Europe
- 7 p.m. JST in Japan
Maintenance for the game will begin 24 hours before the release at the same times mentioned above, starting on Monday, Jan. 15.
Players are advised to ensure that they complete any weekly tasks ahead of time, as the game will be temporarily unavailable prior to the patch release. This includes completing any pending activities such as the Thaleia clear to avoid missing out on rewards.
What content is going to be in FFXIV patch 6.55?
Patch 6.55 will mark the conclusion of the Endwalker patch cycle. It will feature a brief segment of the main scenario quest, setting the stage for the forthcoming Dawntrail expansion.
Additionally, players can look forward to new additions in the Tataru’s Grand Endeavor side quest line, a new trial, and new Hildebrand quests. Furthermore, completion of these Hildebrand quests will unlock a new step for the Manderville weapon. The update will also introduce allied tribe quests, which can only be completed by those who have reached maximum reputation with the Endwalker tribes (Arkasodara, Omicron, and Loporrits).
Between patch 6.55 and Dawntrail, players can expect subsequent minor updates, including the crossover event for Final Fantasy 16. Additionally, restrictions for Thaleia and the last tier of Pandaemonium are anticipated to be removed in future small patches, following the pattern of previous expansion patch cycles. These minor patches will likely include quality-of-life changes and bug fixes, but no major content additions beyond that.
