Suicide Squad Game Teases Tons of Customization for Characters

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will feature a wide array of build combinations for players to explore, with game director Axel Rydby confirming support for hundreds of possibilities across the game’s four characters. In addition, Rocksteady Studios has promised extensive post-launch support and hinted at a substantial endgame experience.

Suicide Squad emphasizes player choice and freedom through character customization

Rydby emphasized the importance of player choice and freedom in Suicide Squad, stating that the game is designed to allow players to personalize each character to their liking. “At launch, we’re looking at hundreds of possible combinations and permutations for builds across our four characters, and this is something we’re adding A LOT to in post launch,” Rydby added.

According to Rydby, the development team is working on expanding the customization options even further post-launch, promising exciting updates for players to look forward to. He also teased, ” We’re not supposed to talk about that today though, but I’m really excited for you all to see the cool stuff we’ve got cooking.”

Rydby also revealed that Suicide Squad will include a “huge” endgame experience, encouraging players to master their chosen character. “Our core philosophy for endgame was, essentially, mastery,” he wrote. “Mastery of your character, traversal, talents, enemy types, mission mechanics and, of course, your choice of build.”

In an interview with Play Magazine (issue 36), Rocksteady discussed the scale of Suicide Squad’s story, calling it the studio’s “biggest game story-wise” to date. Despite a recent delay, the game is set to release on February 2.
