The New Destiny 2 Update Lets You Change Your Guardian’s Look for Free
Good news for Destiny 2 players! After years of being unable to modify their Guardian’s appearance, a new update will soon allow for free customization.
The announcement came in the latest This Week In Destiny blog post, published on January 18. While no specific release date was provided, the feature is expected to debut before the launch of The Final Shape expansion on June 4.
The blog post stated, “You’ll be able to change your Guardian’s look when character customization goes live in an update before the release of The Final Shape. To do so, you’ll only need to launch Destiny 2 and you’ll notice a new option when you hover over a character at the character selection screen.”
The best part? This feature will be completely free and can be used multiple times. However, while players can freely modify hair, face, body type, and markings, changing origins (e.g., from Human to Exo) will not be allowed.
Furthermore, for fashion enthusiasts in Destiny 2, it was confirmed that the Synthweave bounty cap will be reset in March. Synthweave is the resource used to alter gear appearance, and the reset should provide more customization options for players.
