Jurassic Park has been a beloved franchise in cinema since its first film hit theaters in 1993, and soon after, video game adaptations followed suit. Now, fans of the franchise can relive the magic of the films with the Jurassic Park Collection, featuring 8- and 16-bit games for the Switch and PS5. Available for preorder at Best Buy, this collection updates the classic games with save-state support, new in-game maps, and various quality-of-life fixes.

The first run of the Jurassic Park Collection sold out quickly from Limited Run Games, and the second run, currently in production, is expected to start shipping physical copies on June 7.

Although the collection technically features seven games, it’s important to note that it includes different versions of the same game for multiple platforms. Each game offers a unique experience, whether it’s the top-down shooter on NES, the run-and-gun gameplay on Portable, or the smooth animation and pixel art on Genesis and SNES. The portable versions of the games also offer an enjoyable gaming experience and are definitely worth checking out.

One of the main attractions of this collection is the modernized features. The ability to quick-load a save or rewind progress is a welcomed addition, especially considering the inherent difficulty of these classic games. Additionally, platform-specific filters and onscreen maps have been added to enhance the modern gaming experience. Some of the games in the collection also offer multiplayer support for up to two players.
