The Thaumaturge Release Date Delayed until March
The Thaumaturge, developed by Fool’s Theory, was expected to launch on February 25th, but 11 Bit Studios announced that the release date has been pushed back to March 4th. Despite the game being complete, the publishing company decided to delay its release to avoid the crowded launch period in February.
According to a tweet by 11 Bit Studios, the decision to delay the release was made to allow The Thaumaturge to have the space it needs for players to fully enjoy the game. The publisher expressed gratitude for everyone’s patience and invited players to immerse themselves in 1905 Warsaw once the game is released.
The Thaumaturge, an isometric story-driven RPG, is set in a supernatural version of early 20th century Poland. The game focuses on character development and investigation mechanics and is the latest work of the developer Fool’s Theory, known for their previous projects such as Seven: The Days Long Gone and the remake of the original Witcher for CD Projekt.
With February’s busy launch period, we’ve decided to move the release of the Thaumaturge to March 4th, 2024.
The game is complete, but we want to give it space so it can be enjoyed the way we believe it deserves.

The game’s story is set against the historical backdrop of Poland’s annexation by Russia, infused with a supernatural element of a “spiritual world driven by powers concealed beyond the comprehension of ordinary men”. This interesting combination of historical context and supernatural twist promises an engaging gaming experience for players.
Despite the slight delay in the release date, anticipation for The Thaumaturge remains high, and fans are eager to explore the game’s intricately crafted world and narrative.
