Modern Warfare 3 Assault Rifle Tier List
Modern Warfare 3 has entered Season 2 with numerous changes to weapons, making it the perfect time to take a look at the META by compiling an MW3 Assault Rifle Tier List.

B-Tier MW3 Assault Rifles
Our B-Tier class is reserved for weapons that are slightly too weak to perform well within the META. These weapons could benefit from buffs to their damage or accuracy to compete with the stronger ARs.
FR 5.56
The FR 5.56 is an underwhelming weapon with less damage, accuracy, and mobility compared to other assault rifles. It has the potential to be stronger with some adjustments from Sledgehammer Games to bring it up to par with other weapons in the game.
MTZ-556
The MTZ-556 has its strengths but is outclassed by other ARs due to its prominent weaknesses. With the right attachments, this weapon can be decent, but overall it feels outmatched in the current META.
DG-56
The DG-56, once at the top of the META, finds itself in the B-Tier with noticeable weaknesses in damage and heavy damage fall-off. It still maintains good accuracy, but it is generally outclassed by other ARs with less effort.
A-Tier MW3 Assault Rifles
BP-50
The BP-50, a brand new Assault Rifle introduced in Season 2, has made a significant impact in the A-Tier. With excellent accuracy, strong fire rate, and decent damage, this weapon stands out but still pales in comparison to other ARs available.
Holger 556
The Holger 556 has become a favorite weapon in MW3, despite receiving numerous nerfs from Activision. It remains a strong and versatile weapon that shines in its corner of the META.
S-Tier MW3 Assault Rifles
The S-Tier class is reserved for weapons that are exceptionally strong and may require balance changes to bring them in line with other Assault Rifles.
MCW
The MCW has been a consistent top performer throughout MW3’s release, boasting immaculate accuracy, strong TTK, and high mobility for an Assault Rifle. It has remained a strong contender despite numerous adjustments over the course of the game’s lifespan.
SVA 545
The SVA 545 has remained a dominating force among ARs due to its pinpoint accuracy, high damage, and impressive damage range. It has consistently been a standout, showcasing its strength in the META.
