Publisher Nacon and developer Spiders have unveiled a brand new story trailer for the highly anticipated action RPG GreedFall 2: The Dying World. Fans can look forward to experiencing the game on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles, with Steam users getting early access.
GreedFall 2 Unveils Compelling Story Details
GreedFall 2 is set to release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC later this year. While an exact release date is yet to be announced, Steam users will have the opportunity to dive in during early access this summer. Although gameplay details are currently scarce, the latest trailer provides a glimpse into the narrative and introduces a formidable new boss creature.
The trailer for GreedFall 2 kicks off with a brutal assault on a native village located on Teer Fradee, an island inspired by North America which players explored in the first installment. The assailants seem to belong to the Coin Guard, a renowned mercenary group. These attackers capture the protagonist and the other villagers, taking them to the continent of Gacane, presumably to be enslaved. However, the hero manages to break free using a combination of magic and combat skill. Subsequently, she leads a small team of companions into a battle where they encounter a colossal, golem-like monster.
While the original GreedFall game saw players venturing from the bustling city of Sérène to the newly established colonies on Teer Fradee, the sequel shakes things up by allowing players to explore Gacane through the eyes of a native from Teer Fradee. One of the confirmed locations is the city of Olima belonging to the Bridge Alliance, likely the city seen in the trailer. Despite being a sequel, GreedFall 2 serves as a prequel, taking place 3 years before the events of the first game.
