Forza Motorsport Car Progression Overhaul Arrives with Update 6
Developer Turn 10 Studios has delivered on its promise to revamp the car progression system in Forza Motorsport, with the rollout of Update 6 on Xbox Series X/S and PC today, 11th March.
In January, Turn 10 had announced its plans to address the criticisms surrounding Forza Motorsport’s car progression system. This commitment was part of a broader effort to enhance various aspects of the game, such as driver AI and race regulations.
Update Highlights
- Players can now equip desired car parts regardless of Car Level.
- Level restrictions on performance parts have been lifted, allowing players to access them from Car Level 1.
- Players can use in-game Credits to acquire Car Points, offering more flexibility in customization.
Update 6 also introduces a new Featured Tour, updates to Multiplayer and Rivals events, tweaks to Daytona’s pit-lane exit, and the addition of eight new music tracks. Players can find the full patch notes on the Forza website.
While the focus has been on improving car progression, work on enhancing race regulations – the final area slated for improvement – is ongoing. Turn 10 has not specified a timeline for the completion of this work but mentioned in January that it would require a few months of data gathering.
