Mark Your Calendars: June 7th
Set to take place on June 7th at 2 PM Pacific / 5 PM Eastern, the 2024 Summer Game Fest will be held at the YouTube Theatre in LA. Gaming enthusiasts can catch the action through live streams on YouTube and Twitch. For those eager to experience the event in person, tickets will be available for purchase on Ticketmaster starting May 7th. While the lineup of games remains under wraps, attendees can expect exciting reveals based on last year’s showcase which featured titles like Baldur’s Gate 3, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Remnant 2, and Armored Core 6.
Geoff Keighley introduced the Summer Game Fest in 2020 as a replacement for the canceled E3 event due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially a simple livestream reaction show, the festival has since evolved into a live, in-person extravaganza boasting high production values akin to The Game Awards. With E3 discontinuing in 2023 after its last in-person event in 2019, Summer Game Fest now holds a prominent place in the gaming event calendar.
Aside from the main event, Summer 2024 will feature showcases from major publishers. Microsoft has confirmed its June Showcase, while companies like Sony, Nintendo, Ubisoft, Capcom, and EA are expected to host their own events. Additionally, fans can anticipate the annual PC Gaming Show scheduled for June.
