Dragon’s Dogma 2 Character Creator Allows for Unique Creations
Dragon’s Dogma 2 offers players a robust character creator, and ahead of the game’s official launch, fans have been sharing their custom creations using the character creator and storage demo provided by Capcom.
One player has taken things to the extreme by recreating the peculiar-looking Moogles from Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth in a disturbingly realistic manner. While the Moogles in Rebirth already had an unconventional appearance, this custom creation pushes the boundaries even further. The impressive character creator in Dragon’s Dogma 2 raises the question, “at what cost?”
Not only does this grotesque human/Moogle hybrid feature fur all over its body and a meticulously designed Moogle nose, but the creator also went as far as removing specific teeth to match the buck-toothed look of the Moogles in Rebirth. Even the ears resemble those of a plush toy, creating an eerie resemblance.
The Moogles in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth faced criticism on social media upon the game’s release, with many fans expressing a preference for the classic cute and cuddly Moogle design seen in other Final Fantasy titles. The stunning graphics of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth only accentuated the odd appearance of these Moogles, adding fuel to the fire.
Square Enix eventually intervened to defend the Moogles on Twitter, supporting their beloved creatures and bringing an end to the debate. As fate would have it, this all coincided with the release of Dragon’s Dogma 2’s character creator demo, resulting in the creation of this unique Moogle character.
When Dragon’s Dogma 2 is released, there’s a possibility you may encounter this peculiar Moogle roaming the game world if the creator sets them as a Pawn instead of their main character. Pawns are summonable allies in Dragon’s Dogma 2, capable of traveling between towns and interacting with players as they pass by.
