Hey Xbox Insiders! We are excited to announce a new Xbox Update Preview rolling out to the Omega ring today. These updates may not have significant visible changes, but they are crucial for maintaining quality and stability on Xbox consoles.

System Update Details

• OS Version: XB_FLT_2404ZN25398.4051.240321-2000
• Available: 4 p.m. PT – March 26, 2024
• Mandatory: 4 p.m. PT – March 27, 2024

Note: Make sure to check for updates manually if the update does not occur automatically before the mandatory time. Simply navigate to Guide > Profile & system > Settings > System > Updates.

Remember: Enrolled users in this ring may not receive all early updates, but they will get the update before the GA release. Some users may also stay on their current GA build until the next system update becomes mandatory for the public. Visit the Xbox Insider Program FAQ to learn more.

New Features and Experiences

We’re pleased to share new features coming to Omega users in the Xbox Update Preview.

Capture & Share

Users will now receive a notification when low on storage after uploading a new screenshot or game clip to OneDrive.

Discord Voice – Soundboard Audio

Xbox players in Discord Voice will now hear soundboard audio from others in the channel or call, with a mute button available in the Discord Voice options in the Guide.

Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta)

Xbox Insiders can enjoy Mouse and Keyboard support when playing through cloud gaming on supported browsers (Edge and Chrome) and the Xbox App on Windows PCs for users in the PC Gaming Preview.

Note: Browser users must enable Preview features to access this functionality by adjusting settings at xbox.com/play.

• ARK Survival Evolved
• Sea of Thieves
• Grounded
• And more

Fixes Included

Thanks to the feedback from Xbox Insiders and the hard work of Xbox engineers, the following fixes have been implemented with this build:

Capture & Share

• Improvements to the Captures app behavior when storing captures on internal and external drives.

Network Transfer

• Fixes for unexpected errors during network transfers when content already exists.

Parties

• Addressed an issue where no members would be listed when inviting club members to a party.

System

• Updates to ensure proper local language display across the console.

Known Issues

While some issues may persist, Xbox engineers are actively working on solutions. If you encounter any, please report them using Report a Problem.

Audio

• Intermittent audio issues reported across dashboard, games, and apps.
  • Troubleshooting: Ensure all equipment has latest firmware; contact manufacturer if needed.
  • Feedback: Submit feedback via Report a Problem, providing detailed information and setup.

Networking

• Investigating reports of network connection delay on boot.
  • Workaround: Wait for connection establishment or restart the Xbox.
