Team FOLON Delays Fallout London Mod Release Due to Fallout 4 Update
Team FOLON, the indie studio behind the highly anticipated Fallout London mod, recently announced that the mod has been delayed due to the Fallout 4 current-gen update.
Dean Carter, the project lead, explained in a YouTube video that the original release date of April 23 had to be postponed due to Fallout 4’s significant update scheduled for April 25. The team had been working tirelessly to ensure stability for the mod release, but the update presented unforeseen challenges.
Due to the volunteer nature of the team, an official release date for Fallout London is still uncertain. However, the team remains committed to delivering the mod to players as soon as possible.
Benefiting from Fallout 4 Update
Carter expressed optimism about the Fallout 4 update, stating that it allows the team to push the engine further than before. This will result in quality-of-life improvements and widescreen compatibility for the mod.
Despite the mod’s popularity, Team FOLON has never had direct communication with Bethesda. Carter noted that Bethesda has never reached out to the team, and they have never had a substantial conversation with the company.
The mod’s substantial size presents a challenge for console players, with Carter explaining that it is too large to fit on Xbox systems. However, PC players will have access to Fallout London through GOG accounts, with confirmed availability on Steam and potential availability on the Epic Games Store.
