Trubbish, the garbage bag Pokémon from the Unova region, has made its way to Pokémon Go and can be found in the wild. And guess what? Trubbish can appear as a shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Go!
Neither Trubbish nor Garbodor are commonly used in PvE or PvP battles, although Garbodor has some limited usefulness in certain PvP leagues. While they may not be meta Pokémon, they are still deserving of love, care, and a place to call home.
What is the shiny rate for Trubbish in Pokémon Go?
According to research from the now-defunct website The Silph Road (via Wayback Machine), the shiny rate for Pokémon on a normal day is around one in 500. Trubbish is not known to have a boosted shiny rate as a rare spawn.
What can I do to attract more shiny Pokémon?
Unfortunately, there isn’t much you can do to increase your chances. The appearance of shiny Pokémon seems to be based on random chance. Developer Niantic sets the shiny Pokémon rates, and they are usually boosted during special events like Community Days, Safari Zones, or Legendary Raids. There are no items that can increase shiny Pokémon rates.
Where can I find a list of available shiny Pokémon?
LeekDuck maintains a list of currently available shiny Pokémon, which serves as a useful visual reference to see all the shiny forms that exist.
