Bethesda Unveils Details for Starfield’s Latest Update
Bethesda Game Studios recently announced the specifics of the upcoming major update for Starfield.
Version 1.11.33, scheduled to coincide with the game’s first post-launch expansion Shattered Space later this year, is currently in Steam Beta and will officially launch on PC and Xbox Series X|S on May 15. This update is one of the most significant since the game’s initial release in September.
One of the key improvements in this patch is the addition of enhanced surface maps, a feature many players have been eagerly anticipating. This update will now allow players to view location markers in towns and cities, making navigation much easier.
“We’ve listened to your feedback and have implemented major enhancements to surface maps, ensuring that you always know where you’re headed. No more excuses for not visiting your parents, especially since they never bought the ‘got lost on the way’ excuse,” stated Bethesda in the patch notes.
Currently, Starfield on Xbox Series X|S is capped at 30FPS. However, with the upcoming update, players will have the option to choose between two new display modes – Visuals or Performance.
“We’ve taken note of the requests for more control over graphic quality and performance on Xbox, similar to what PC players have. With this update, we are enabling these options on Xbox Series X, allowing players to tailor their experience to their preferences and display setup,” Bethesda explained.
The update will introduce new gameplay features for those seeking more challenge or an easier experience, a Ship Decoration mode for customizing ship interiors, Tabs for better inventory management, and the ability to adjust traits and appearances after entering the Unity.
