Stumble Guys Launches on PlayStation Today
With 600 million downloads and 50 million unique players per month, Stumble Guys has become one of the largest mobile games on the platform. Scopely has since set its sights on home consoles, and after the Xbox version dropped this past January, the team has announced the PlayStation version of the multiplayer mayhem game is available today.
Stumble Guys is now available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 as a free-to-play title, with an additional Starter Pack available for purchase–which includes the Dynamitron skin, Ripple Footsteps walking cosmetic, and 1,600 Gems for use in the in-game shop. All versions of the game will also receive an update enabling cross-progression across consoles and mobile devices, allowing players on mobile to check out the console versions with all of their items intact.
Gameplay Overview
Stumble Guys lets 32 players join in a set of obstacle-course-style challenges, from races to survival modes. Each player is able to customize their character with a suite of cosmetics, which can be earned through normal gameplay or purchased in the in-game shop.
Collaborations and Events
Stumble Guys’s success has allowed Scopely to partner with multiple major IPs for in-game collaborations, which added special cosmetics, stages, and challenges during each limited-time-event. The most recent partnership featured the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, while other past events included the NFL, Nerf, Barbie, and Hot Wheels.
Platforms and Future Releases
Stumble Guys is available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile devices. A Nintendo Switch version is currently in development and listed as “coming soon.”
