Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 Premiere Date Revealed
Five Nights At Freddy’s 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2023 film adaptation of the popular horror game, now has a confirmed premiere date. Fans can mark their calendars for December 5, 2025, when Freddy Fazbear and his animatronic friends will once again haunt the big screen.
According to a report by Variety, Blumhouse Productions unveiled the premiere date for Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 along with a lineup of other upcoming films, including M3GAN 2.0 and The Black Phone 2. The decision to move forward with a sequel comes as no surprise, given the massive success of the original film. Despite its simultaneous release in theaters and on Peacock on October 27, 2023, the film raked in an impressive $297 million worldwide, making it the top-grossing horror movie of the year, as well as Blumhouse’s most successful film to date. Additionally, it dominated the Peacock platform as the most-watched movie for five consecutive days.
The tagline for Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 sets the tone for the nail-biting sequel: “Anyone can survive five nights. This time, there will be no second chances.” While the cast for the upcoming film has yet to be announced, fans can expect the return of director Emma Tammi, along with the franchise creator Scott Cawthorn and Blumhouse founder Jason Blum as producers. The original film featured stars such as Josh Hutchinson, Matthew Lillard, Elizabeth Lail, Mary Stuart Masterson, and Piper Rubio.
Excitement is building for Five Nights At Freddy’s 2, but it won’t be the only video game adaptation hitting screens in 2025. Fans can also look forward to Mortal Kombat 2, the follow-up to the successful 2021 reboot, set to premiere in October of the same year.
