Grand Theft Auto VI Release Window Pushed to Fall 2025
Excitement soared last December with the announcement of Grand Theft Auto VI, but fans were quickly reminded of the long wait ahead with a projected 2025 release date. As we approach the midpoint of 2024, it seems we will have to be patient for one more year before getting our hands on the highly anticipated game.
Take-Two, the publisher, unveiled its 2024 year-end financial report today, confirming Rockstar’s target release window for GTA VI in Fall 2025. This information was also supported by a calendar showcasing the publisher’s upcoming releases.

Take-Two expressed confidence in Rockstar’s ability to deliver an exceptional gaming experience with Grand Theft Auto VI. The game is set to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with no mention yet of a PC version.
Grand Theft Auto VI will transport players to a modern-day Vice City, a fictionalized version of Miami, FL, featuring two main characters: Lucia, a female inmate, and her male criminal partner who is yet to be named. The excitement surrounding the game is undeniable, as the debut trailer surpassed 100 million views in just 24 hours on YouTube, setting a new record.
