Grand Theft Auto 6 Release Date Delayed Until Late 2025
According to the latest financial report from Take-Two Interactive, it appears that Grand Theft Auto 6 won’t be hitting the shelves until late 2025. The publisher has specified a release window for the highly anticipated game, aiming for a launch during the Fall of calendar 2025, which typically falls between September and November, making it a Holiday release. This update narrows down the previously vague “2025” release window mentioned in the initial reveal trailer.
The financial report states, “Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games’ previously established window of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto 6. Consumer anticipation for the title is unprecedented, and our expectations for its commercial success continue to grow.”
It’s important to note that this targeted release window is subject to change. While Grand Theft Auto 6 has been in the works for some time, the late 2025 release is not set in stone. It wouldn’t be surprising if the game’s launch is pushed to early or mid-2026 to ensure it meets Rockstar Games’ standards. However, considering that GTA 5 was initially released in September 2013, it’s likely that the sequel will follow a similar timeline.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is expected to introduce two playable protagonists, inspired by the infamous criminal duo Bonnie and Clyde. The game is set in Leonida, a fictionalized version of Florida, and will feature the iconic Vice City. With high expectations for both critical reception and sales, fans are eagerly anticipating the game’s release.
