Star Piece Locations in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

Prologue

• Rogueport – On the right side between the fencing and some crates and barrels in the main square.
• Rogueport – On the backside of the roof next to the badge shop. Go upstairs inside the inn to access it.
• Rogueport – In the bandit’s house in the backstreet of Rogueport. It’s behind some debris on the left side.
• Rogueport (East) – On some boxes in the alleyway behind the Shrine Sprite building. The wall to the right has space for you to walk past it.

Chapter 1

• Petal Meadows – Hit the tree on the left with your hammer when you first emerge from the pipes to Petal Meadows.
• Petal Meadows – After hitting the blue switch to reveal the bridge, keep walking right to grab this piece.
• Path to Shhwonk Fortress – Behind the first bush in the back of this map, just hit it with your hammer.
• Hooktail Castle (First Floor) – Though the Star Piece is technically in the next room, you’ll need to access a secret passage from this room. Bring down the purple block by hitting the purple block in the foreground. Then charge up Koops by holding down Y so that when you release, he’ll hit the purple block again. Keep holding down Y and stand on top of the purple block. Release Koops to elevator up to a path with the Star Piece.

Chapter 2

• Boggly Woods – In the area with the silver pipe going straight up, walk all the way to the right to go into a secret path. Follow the path all the way down past the blue switch to get the Star Piece.
• Boggly Woods – Hit the third tree from the left in the map with Flurrie’s House in the background.
• Great Tree (Sublevel Two) – Behind a bush in the room before the “secret” shop.
• Great Tree (Sublevel Two) – Behind the pipe in the room with the giant stump in the middle.

Chapter 3

• Glitzville – Inside the juice bar behind the counter.
• Glitzville – In the bushes in front of the Glitz Pit.
• Glitzville – Behind the phone booth on the west side of town.
• Glitzville – Spin Jump in front of where the balloon lift drops you.

Chapter 4

• Twilight Town – Between the mayor’s house and the house on the left.
• Twilight Town – In the grass by the tree in the front right of western Twilight Town.
• Twilight Town – Behind the barrels by the tree in the front right of eastern Twilight Town.
• Twilight Trail – Behind the first tree you have to roll under.

Chapter 5

• Keelhaul Key – Spin jump in the area you wash up in, a bit left of the exit.
• Keelhaul Key – In the water on the beach in the hub area.
• Keelhaul Key – Behind the rock in front of the inn in the hub area.
• Pirate’s Grotto – On a sole small platform in the water.

Chapter 6

• Excess Express (Car Two) – Spin jump in the middle of room 004.
• Excess Express (Engineer’s Car) – Spin jump in front of the engine.
• Excess Express (Car Four) – In the drawer of car room 008.
• Excess Express (Car Three) – A reward from the chef for returning the Galley Pot.

Chapter 7

• Path to Fahr Outpost – Spin Jump to the left of the pipe that brought you to the snowy area.
• Path to Fahr Outpost – Behind a prickly bush towards the front of the path in the map after the pipe.
• Fahr Outpost – Behind a wall in the foreground of the west side of the outpost.
• Moon – Behind a rock in front of the warp pipe to the X-Naut base.
