Sony Announces State of Play Broadcast Featuring 14 Titles for PS5 and PSVR 2
Sony has announced that the next State of Play broadcast will air tomorrow (May 30, 2024) and include details on 14 titles for both PlayStation 5 and PSVR 2.
According to an official PlayStation blog post, the presentation will offer “updates on PS5 and PSVR 2 titles, plus a look at PlayStation Studios games arriving later this year.”
The show will run for over 30 minutes and highlight a total of 14 titles. It is scheduled to start at 15:00 PT / 18:00 ET / 23:00 BST and will be accessible on YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok. The post also cautions co-streamers and VOD providers about potential copyrighted content.
An exciting aspect of the State of Play is the focus on “PlayStation Studios games” launching later this year. With a sparse first-party release schedule, fans are eager to know what Sony has in store.
Rumors circulating suggest a new Astro Bot game may be in development, possibly making an appearance. Additionally, news on new games compatible with PSVR 2 could be a highlight, addressing the peripheral’s lackluster support.
Recent reports hint at a PC adapter for PSVR 2, making it plausible for initial details to be revealed. There’s also a small possibility of updates on the anticipated PS5 Pro, speculated to launch later this year. An announcement during this State of Play seems probable.
