Toys for Bob Announces Publishing Deal with Xbox for Next Game
Toys for Bob, known for developing Crash Bandicoot 4 and the Skylanders series, has revealed a new publishing agreement with Xbox for their upcoming game. Following their independence from Activision Blizzard, the studio is diving into a fresh partnership with Xbox for their next project.
The studio has disclosed that the game is in its early stages of development and won’t be showcased anytime soon. Xbox will serve as the game’s platform, which aligns with the hints dropped by the studio about a potential collaboration with the publisher a couple of months prior.
We’re excited to announce that we’ll be partnering with @Xbox to publish our next new game. We’re still very early in development, so you might not hear from us for a bit – but know that we’re working hard on an experience we’re so sooo inspired about! Can’t wait to share more 💜 pic.twitter.com/6EqrQbabpv

Having become an independent entity in February post the Microsoft acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Toys for Bob appears to be enjoying the best of both worlds by collaborating with Xbox while retaining autonomy. Prior to the split from Activision, the studio was behind titles like Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, Crash Team Rumble, Spyro Reignited Trilogy, and the Skylanders series.
