Rumor of Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, Delta: Snake Eater Release Date Delay
Speculation is swirling in the gaming community regarding the potential delay of the release date window for the highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid 3 remake, Delta: Snake Eater. Initially announced at May 2023’s PlayStation Showcase, Sony had originally slated the game for a 2024 release. However, according to a prominent leaker, it seems like fans may have to wait until 2025 to get their hands on the remake.
The leak was brought to light by well-known Dealabs user billbil-kun, who, although still in the process of seeking confirmation from a second source, has a track record of accurate reports. If billbil-kun’s information holds true, it looks like MGS Delta won’t be hitting shelves in 2024 after all.
Possible Announcement at Summer Game Fest 2024
Billbil-kun appears confident that Konami will make an official announcement regarding the release date or at least provide a release window by early June, coinciding with the start of Summer Game Fest 2024. As per the leak, pre-orders for MGS Delta will open immediately after the showcase, with the standard edition priced at $70 and a Collector’s Edition available for $199.99. Unfortunately, details regarding the contents of the Collector’s Edition remain unconfirmed.
Summer Game Fest is scheduled to kick off on Friday, June 7, at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET, so be sure to mark your calendars for any potential updates on the highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid 3 remake.
