One Reddit user, u/JarusinTheStars, noted that deciphering the changelogs on SteamDB can be tricky, but based on past experiences, a surge in changes usually indicates something major is on the horizon. The user pointed out that there have been more updates in May than ever before since the game’s launch, with some days seeing over 10 changes. This influx of changes has surpassed previous update figures in less than a month.

According to JarusinTheStars, it is believed that Bethesda will reveal the Shattered Space expansion and the June update during the Xbox Showcase on June 9th. The user anticipates that this update will be even more significant than the previous one.

While the recent influx of SteamDB updates is undeniable, the details regarding upcoming expansions and updates remain speculative at this point. Luckily, fans won’t have to wait long to see if JarusinTheStars’ predictions come true as the Xbox Showcase is just around the corner.

The May update for Starfield, which was teased by Todd Howard of Bethesda, is now live. This update includes a surface map overhaul, a new 60fps target mode for Xbox Series X, and a glimpse of land vehicles that will be introduced in a future update.

Todd Howard previously explained that the absence of land vehicles in Starfield was a deliberate choice to control the player’s experience. However, Bethesda hinted last December that new modes of transportation were on the horizon for the game.
