Venom 3, cheekily subtitled the The Last Dance, appears to be a thrilling continuation of the unique superhero franchise. Tom Hardy reprises his role as Eddie Brock, who finds himself on the run from scientists aiming to eliminate the Venom symbiote for the greater good of Earth. Fans are hopeful for a storyline reminiscent of The Fugitive or Midnight Run, but with a Venom twist.

Continuation from Venom: Let There Be Carnage

Venom: The Last Dance seems to pick up where the previous installment, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, left off. Eddie and Venom are laying low in tropical surroundings after defeating serial killer Cletus and infecting detective Mulligan with his symbiote. Some fans might recall the crossover tease into the Marvel Cinematic Universe at the end of the movie, hinting at a connection to Spider-Man: No Way Home.

A Disconnect from the MCU

Despite the tease, the crossover into the MCU did not materialize the way fans expected.
