Balatro: A Surprising Success Story

2024 has seen the rise of Balatro, a poker-themed roguelike deck-building game developed by the solo creator known as LocalThunk. This indie game has captured the hearts of gamers and gained popularity on platforms like Steam and consoles. Exciting news reveals that Balatro will soon receive a special physical release.

LocalThunk confirmed this exciting development in a post on X, announcing that the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X editions will include a pack of Joker/booster cards.

The announcement first appeared on Giant Bomb, giving fans a sneak peek at the box art for the Switch version of the game.
