Destiny 2 raid completion takes 19 hours and unlocks stunning final mission for Guardians everywhere

Destiny 2 Clan Completes Raid, Unlocks Secret Mission

The Parabellum clan recently made history by becoming the first Destiny 2 clan to complete The Final Shape’s raid. This accomplishment unlocked a final mission for all Guardians to experience, marking the culmination of the sci-fi shooter’s expansive story.

After an intense 19-hour journey through Salvation’s Edge, the Parabellum clan emerged victorious. However, the real surprise came when cut-scenes revealed the availability of a hitherto secret mission for all players, regardless of raid completion status.

This mission, known as Excision, invites up to 12 players to partake in a breathtaking crescendo that promises to touch the hearts of even the most seasoned Guardians.

Word of the secret mission spread rapidly, leading to a flurry of “BAT” errors related to player fireteams experiencing difficulties viewing all cutscenes after completing Excision. To address this issue, Bungie recommended solo participation in the activity and advised that cutscene-replays were available in the narrative version of Excision.

Although the reported issues have been addressed, Bungie continues to recommend a maximum of 6 fireteam members when embarking on the Narrative version of Excision for the optimal experience.

But the excitement doesn’t end there. Bungie confirmed an upcoming livestream on June 10th at 4pm UK time (8am PT) to unveil “the next year of Destiny 2.” While this presentation is anticipated to shed light on the future of Destiny 2, it’s unlikely to divulge details about Destiny 3. Of course, with Bungie’s track record of surprises, one can never say for sure!

Interestingly, some players didn’t have to wait for the official release date. The DLC inadvertently leaked online when the expansion briefly surfaced on PS5 before its scheduled launch earlier this week.
