Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree Patch Update
A recent patch has been released for the Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree, focusing on revising the scaling of the Shadow Realm Blessings.
In this DLC, a new scaling system has been introduced to enhance the attack and defense of both your character and spirit summons. This is achieved by collecting Scadutree Fragments and Revered Spirit Ashes.
The latest update has tweaked the scaling, making the effects more pronounced in the initial levels before gradually leveling off. Additionally, the final level of Blessing enhancements has been slightly increased.
The difficulty of the DLC has been a topic of discussion among players, especially with concerns about the initial quest being too challenging and the final boss proving to be a tough encounter. The rebalancing aims to address these issues and provide a more balanced gameplay experience.
Apart from the scaling adjustments, the patch also addresses graphics settings on PC following complaints from players on Steam regarding performance issues.
One notable bug that has been identified is the automatic enabling of ray tracing settings when loading saved data from a previous version of the game. To stabilize frame rates, players are advised to check and disable ray tracing in the system menu.
Future patches are expected to bring further balance adjustments, bug fixes, and performance upgrades, including tweaks to enemy difficulty in NG+ mode.
While Bandai Namco had previously recommended players focus on leveling up their Blessings to overcome challenges, this new patch directly tackles gameplay balance issues.
The release of the DLC has reignited interest in Elden Ring among streamers, who are exploring unique ways to play the game, including unconventional approaches that test their skills and creativity.
