NBA 2K24 Season 9 Patch to Remove Dr Disrespect

Infamous video game streamer Dr Disrespect, real name Herschel “Guy” Beahm IV, is facing consequences in the gaming world due to recent allegations. Reports indicate that Dr Disrespect will be removed from NBA 2K24, following his involvement in NBA 2K23 as well.

Controversy Surrounding Dr Disrespect

According to a report by Dexerto, the decision to remove Dr Disrespect from the game came after allegations surfaced regarding inappropriate messages he exchanged with a minor. This controversy led to his ban from Twitch and subsequent actions from his own game studio, Midnight Society.

Dr Disrespect’s Response

In a public statement posted on his Twitter account, Dr Disrespect admitted to engaging in conversations that were deemed inappropriate with a minor in 2017. Despite describing the exchanges as mutual and casual, the streamer faced repercussions from various companies, including Turtle Beach and the San Francisco 49ers.

As a result, NBA 2K is expected to release a patch in the near future that will remove all references to Dr Disrespect from the game. The exact release date for this patch has not been announced yet.
