Astro Bot PS5 File Size Is Larger Than Elden Ring

How Big is Astro Bot on PS5?

The file size for Astro Bot has been revealed and it’s larger than expected. While Astro’s Playroom only takes up 11 GB on the PS5, the sequel, Astro Bot, is a hefty 66 gigabytes. This makes it larger than the base game of Elden Ring.

Details of Astro Bot’s File Size on PS5

According to Team Asobi, the upcoming platformer will require 66 GB of storage space, which is six times the size of its predecessor. This was discovered by a Reddit user who compared it to the size of Elden Ring, which is around 60 GB without the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. The file size information was shared on Twitter through a photo of the back of the game’s box, clearly displaying the size in Japanese text.

While Astro Bot’s file size may not directly correlate to the game being bigger than Elden Ring, it does give players an idea of the space required on their PS5 consoles.

Astro Bot is set to release on September 6th and marks the third game in the series. Starting with Rescue Mission for the original PSVR, the second game, Astro’s Playroom, acted as a demonstration for the capabilities of the PS5’s DualSense controller. However, the upcoming sequel boasts a full-length gaming experience with over 80 levels spread across 50 planets in 6 galaxies. New abilities for Astro and boss fights at the end of each galaxy add depth to the gameplay.

Similar to Astro’s Playroom, Astro Bot will also include unlockable “VIP bots” inspired by other PlayStation titles. Players can collect over 150 of these crossover robots in the game.
