EA is delisting Battlefield 3, 4, and Hardline on older platforms at the end of the month

EA to Delist Three Battlefield Games from Digital Storefronts

EA has announced that it will be delisting three Battlefield games from select digital storefronts later this month. In a recent update shared on X / Twitter and reported by Eurogamer, the publisher confirmed that Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, and Battlefield: Hardline will no longer be available for purchase on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 starting July 31.

Users will no longer be able to buy the games or any additional content like downloadable content (DLC) or other add-ons from the digital storefronts after the delisting.

Furthermore, the online services for Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, and Hardline on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are set to end on November 7, 2024. However, players who own the games will still be able to enjoy the single-player component.

EA clarified that Battlefield 3 will still be playable on PC, and Battlefield 4 and Hardline will be playable on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 with no impact from the delisting. The company mentioned that games are sometimes removed from online stores due to legal reasons or changing player preferences, and referred to this process as ‘sunsetting.’

On a different note, Dice has revealed an upcoming collaboration between Battlefield 2042 and Dead Space. This new limited-time crossover event will introduce a mode named Outbreak inspired by the horror series. The event is scheduled to kick off on July 9, offering players free rewards to earn.
