The First Descendent Update 1.0.2 Improves Named Monsters, No Plans to Nerf Builds

What The First Descendent Update 1.0.2 Brings

With the recent rollout of The First Descendent Update 1.0.2, Nexon has made significant changes to the multiplayer third-person looter shooter. One of the main adjustments includes the removal of an unpopular element from Named Monsters while also enhancing the matchmaking feature for various missions. Additionally, concerns about potentially nerfing powerful anti-boss builds have been addressed by the developer.

Key Changes in The First Descendent Update 1.0.2

The update was launched on Thursday at 6:05 a.m. Pacific / 9:05 Eastern time. One notable change is the addition of matchmaking for Hard Infiltration Operations. Players can now easily team up with others on the same Operation by selecting “Start Public Operation.” Even if there are changes in rewards, players can initiate a Public Operation, although choosing an additional option will restrict them to Private Operations.

Another significant alteration introduced in this update is the elimination of sequential Immunity Spheres from named monsters. The development team acknowledged community feedback regarding the dull patterns of Named Monsters and aims to improve them. The specific pattern involving breaking spheres in a certain order has been removed to enhance the public matching experience. Nexon plans to continue modifying Named Monsters in future updates to further enhance gameplay.

Addressing concerns about potential nerfs to characters Tamer and Gley’s current meta builds, Nexon reassured players in the patch notes. The developer stated that while the Tamer and Gley’s infinite magazine build is indeed powerful, it aligns with the Dev Team’s plans, and there are no immediate plans for nerfs. The Director also hinted at undiscovered effective builds that players may explore.
