What is NYT Connections?

NYT Connections is a word game series created by the New York Times that challenges players to identify groups of four items that share a common connection. Each group varies in difficulty, with green being easy, yellow a bit harder, blue quite tough, and purple very challenging.

Players have the flexibility of making up to four mistakes and can often deduce the final group through process of elimination. The game requires a keen eye for word patterns as well as the ability to uncover hidden connections among seemingly unrelated items.

While more complex than games like Wordle, NYT Connections offers a rewarding challenge and can be played for free on desktop or mobile through the NYT Games website.
