Rockstar website update suggests GTA+ subscriptions could soon include access to Switch games

Rockstar’s GTA+ Subscription Service May Soon Include Switch Versions

Rockstar’s GTA+ subscription service is rumored to potentially expand to include access to Switch versions of the company’s games, based on a recent update to its website that has since been reverted.

Currently exclusive to Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, GTA+ offers subscribers access to various GTA Online items and a selection of Rockstar Games for a monthly fee of £6.99/€7.99/$7.99 USD. This collection includes popular titles like Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy, Red Dead Redemption, and LA Noire.

The official Rockstar website provides a comprehensive list of games available to GTA+ members, with current access across multiple platforms such as Xbox, PlayStation, iOS App Store, and Google Play.

A recent update to the Rockstar website, discovered by TezFunz2 on X (thanks VGC), briefly included Switch versions in the list of games included with GTA+. This development has sparked speculation about the possibility of GTA+ subscribers gaining access to titles on the Nintendo Switch platform as part of their subscription.

While the Switch’s library of Rockstar games is somewhat limited, key titles like LA Noire, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition, and Red Dead Redemption have all been successfully ported to the console. This potential addition could offer players on-the-go gaming experiences as an added incentive to join GTA+.

It remains to be seen whether the Switch’s appearance on Rockstar’s GTA+ Benefits page signifies upcoming changes or if it was merely a mistake. As a precaution, inquiries have been made to Rockstar for clarification.

In addition to the speculation surrounding GTA+, Rockstar is also focusing on other projects. The highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 has been officially confirmed by the studio and publisher Take-Two Interactive for release in the autumn of the following year.
