State of Decay 2’s latest update not only offers new game content but also presents players with the opportunity to be real-life heroes by donating blood. Undead Labs has teamed up with the American Red Cross to address the critical shortage of blood supply during the summer months. Through a custom portal, players can sign up to donate blood and engage with the game in a meaningful way. Welcome to the #SummerofSurvival campaign!
A Light in the Dark Update: New Content and Features
The new update, titled Update 37: A Light in the Dark, introduces recruitable survivors with unique traits like Blood Donor and EMT Driver. These survivors can boost morale, recovery, and cardio stats in the game. Players will encounter these survivors when they undertake a mission to assist a new enclave in saving critically injured members.
Additionally, players can unlock new cosmetics such as the Zombie Nurse T-shirt and the Blood Donor jacket, allowing them to save the enclave in style.
New Features and Rewards
In a previous collaboration with the Red Cross, Undead Labs introduced the Bloodmobile, a limited-time in-game vehicle decked out with blood spatter, lights, and sirens. Due to its popularity, the Bloodmobile returns in this update with increased trunk storage capacity from 9 to 15 slots, making it ideal for supply runs and aiding friends in need.
The Bloodmobile is now permanently available for players, ensuring they can continue to make a difference in the game while supporting a good cause.
