Sony Reveals Limited Edition DualSense Controller Inspired by Concord
The latest limited edition DualSense Wireless Controller from Sony has been unveiled, featuring a design based on the upcoming multiplayer shooter Concord.
Based on the images released, this could be one of the most visually appealing limited edition DualSense controllers to date. With a color scheme similar to the Midnight Black controller, it includes intricate red and blue designs that give it a distinct ‘70s sci-fi aesthetic. Additionally, the game’s logo is printed on the rear of the controller.
While it complements the game well, the price point may be a sticking point for some. Priced at $84.99, the Concord limited edition DualSense Wireless Controller is the most expensive variant so far, surpassing the Marvel’s Spider Man 2 limited edition controller that launched last year. Despite its appeal, the cost may deter some potential buyers.
The limited edition controller is currently available for pre-order on PlayStation in the US and is scheduled to be released on August 23 this year. There is no confirmation yet on its availability in other regions outside the US, but listings may surface in the coming days.
Concord, slated for release on PlayStation 5 and PC, recently had an early access beta from July 12 to July 14 followed by an open beta from July 18 to July 21. While initial impressions from the beta were not significant, developer Firewalk Studios announced that Concord will not have a battle pass, prioritizing the game’s overall experience from day one. However, players will still have the option to purchase cosmetic character skins through microtransactions.
