Tony Pankhurst Remembered as the Face of The Curator in The Dark Pictures Anthology
Tony Pankhurst, the talented UK actor known for portraying The Curator in Supermassive Games’ The Dark Pictures Anthology, has passed away at the age of 67.
Supermassive Games took to Twitter to announce Pankhurst’s passing. A tribute page set up by Pankhurst’s family revealed that he passed away on May 9 and was laid to rest on June 7. The family has requested donations for Hospice in the Weald, the organization that provided care for Pankhurst during his final days.

With a career that spanned over four decades in entertainment, Pankhurst made his mark in films, TV, and radio. In the realm of video games, he lent his likeness to the enigmatic Curator character in The Dark Pictures Anthology titles such as Man of Madan, Little Hope, House of Ashes, and The Devil in Me. While actor Pip Torrens provided the voice and motion capture for The Curator, Pankhurst portrayed a live-action version of the character in a trailer for House of Ashes released in 2021.
