Ennie Awards 2024 Highlights
The Ennie Awards, an annual event at Gen Con, showcases the best tabletop RPGs and related products, recognizing excellence in various categories such as art direction, mechanics, and writing. Winners of the 2024 Ennie Awards are now available for purchase, allowing enthusiasts to dive into the top-ranked titles of the year.
Product of the Year
This year’s fan favorite at Gen Con 2024 is Shadowdark RPG, offered in both PDF and hardcover formats by The Arcane Library. The second-place spot belongs to Outgunned, available as a $11.90 PDF on DriveThruRPG.
Best Adventure – Short Form / Long Form
The gold medal for Best Short Adventure was awarded to Eat the Reich, accessible in physical and PDF formats from Rowan & Deckard. One-Shot Wonders secured the second place. For long-form adventures, Delta Green: God’s Teeth clinched the top spot, with Call of Cthulu: Alone Against the Static as the runner-up.
Best Aid/Accessory (Digital / Non-Digital)
In the digital category, LegendKeeper emerged as the winner, offering a free trial and $7.50 monthly subscriptions. Hexroll 2E stood as the second-place contender, providing additional benefits to Patreon subscribers for $2.50 a month. For physical accessories, the luxurious Arkham Investigator’s Wallet secured the first spot, while the Hexcrawl Toolbox came in second.
Best Art (Cover)
Eat the Reich took home the award for the best cover art, featuring illustrations by artist Will Kirkby. Koriko: A Magical Year received recognition as the runner-up with its cozy and evocative cover by Deb JJ Lee.
Best Art (Interior)
Eat the Reich also shined in the interior illustrations category, securing the first place. The second place was awarded to UVG 2E, known for its illustrations by designer Luka Rejc.
Best Cartography
Recognizing outstanding art and technique in mapping, the Dragonbane Core Set was awarded the top position, available for purchase around $44. The Alien RPG expansion, Building Better Worlds, took home the second-place honor.

BREAK!! Tabletop RPG nabbed the gold for Best Family Game, offered as a $25 PDF. If I Were A Lich, Man secured the second place, available as a $35 hardcover.

So You Want to Be a Game Master: Everything You Need to Start Your Tabletop Adventure for Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, and Other Systems emerged as the winner, with KOBOLD Guide to Roleplaying as the second-place recipient.
