Half-Life 3 Rumors Resurface
Exciting news for Half-Life fans – the long-rumored Half-Life 3 game may be back in the spotlight, thanks to a discovery on voice actor Natasha Chandel’s resume.
If you visit Chandel’s website now, you may find that the reference to “Project White Sands (video game)” in the “voice over” section has been removed or revised. However, for those who caught a glimpse before any changes, the project is clearly linked to Valve.
According to eagle-eyed members of the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, the mention of “white sands” in connection to Valve is sparking speculation that it could be tied to Half-Life 3. Notably, “White Sands is a park in New Mexico… State where is (was) Black Mesa,” adding fuel to the fire of anticipation.
“These are the kind of leaks that are always fun, a legitimate first-hand source that isn’t filtered through some influencer trying to vaguepost for engagement,” commented one user. “Just a voice actor who probably has never heard of Steam nonchalantly mentioning they did work on Half-Life 3.”
“F*ck it, I’m putting my clown makeup back on,” remarked another user, capturing the mix of excitement and skepticism surrounding these rumors.
While this discovery is not definitive proof of Half-Life 3’s existence, it does suggest that Valve may be working on a new game project in addition to Deadlock. And if it turns out not to be related to Half-Life, the codename “White Sands” remains a tantalizing mystery.
Court documents recently revealed insights into Valve’s staffing and business operations, indicating a lean team of 371 employees in 2021 for a company with significant annual revenue. In comparison, EA, a major gaming company, employs over 13,000 staff members despite generating similar revenue figures.
