As the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 approaches, leaks have started to surface online, giving players a sneak peek into some of the new mechanics. One of the most interesting reveals is the introduction of the meat shield mechanic, which allows players to use enemies as a shield in combat.
Instead of automatically executing an enemy when approaching them from behind, players now have the option to use them as a human shield. A recent clip shared by Charlie Intel on X/Twitter demonstrates how players can pull out their pistol and utilize the meat shield for defense.
Additionally, players have the choice to either kill the shielded enemy with a “Quick Kill” or perform an execution on them. It seems that the meat shields will remain alive during this process, providing a strategic advantage for players who can use them effectively.
Leaks surrounding Black Ops 6 have been circulating online due to a beta build of the game being uploaded to the PSN database. Players who wish to avoid spoilers should be cautious when searching for Call of Duty content to prevent revealing too much about the upcoming game.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to launch on October 25 and will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
