FORTNITE CHAPTER 5 SEASON 4 REVEALS MARVEL-FOCUSED SEASON
We were expecting some big news from Fortnite at Disney’s D23 event, and we weren’t disappointed. The upcoming Chapter 5 Season 4, starting on August 16, will be centered around Marvel, known as Absolute Doom. This season will feature a battle pass filled with Marvel skins, including a unique version of Peely called Peelverine.
The trailer showcases the complete battle pass lineup, introducing characters like Gwenpool, War Machine, Emma Frost, Shuri, Mysterio, Peelverine, and Captain Jonesy as unlockable skins. Additionally, Doctor Doom will be the mid-season unlock, similar to Magneto in the current season.
The trailer also provides a sneak peek at the new Marvel powers, featuring abilities like Shuri’s claws, War Machine’s weapon rig, Iron Man’s energy blasts and flight, Captain America’s Shield, and Doctor Doom’s gauntlets. Interestingly, there was no mention of the Fantastic Four in this reveal.
EXCITING COLLABORATIONS AND NEW SKINS
Aside from the Marvel content, the D23 presentation unveiled some surprising collaborations. Creative heads from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm, and Marvel Studios came together to announce new skins inspired by their franchises.
Classic Disney animated villains like Cruella DeVille, Captain Hook, and Maleficent will be featured as skins, with a possible release during Fortnitemares in October. Additionally, Fortnite will introduce its first Pixar skins with a collaboration with The Incredibles.
For players who missed out on the Mandalorian skin and Grogu back bling, new skins for IG-11 and Moff Gideon will be added to the item shop on August 12. There will also be a chance to acquire a new Grogu back bling for those who missed the previous one.
