Good-Feel’s Goemon-Inspired Switch Game ‘Bakeru’ Is Getting Localised

After a minor leak last night, Spike Chunsoft has officially confirmed the Western release of Good-Feel’s platformer Bakeru. Nintendo has unveiled the official trailer, available for viewing above.

The game is set to be priced at USD $39.99 / €39.99 / GBP £34.99 and will be digitally launched on the eShop on September 3rd. Good-Feel, the developer behind Yoshi and Kirby, unveiled a new 3D action game for the Switch titled Otogi Katsugeki Mameda no Bakeru: Oracle Saitarou no Sainan!! last year. Drawing comparisons to the Goemon series, the game is led by Etsunobu Ebisu, a key figure behind Mystical Ninja.

Following its release in Japan last November, a game page for Bakeru has now been discovered on Nintendo Australia’s website and local eShop. The game is set to release locally on September 3, 2024 for $60.00 AUD, with a pre-order discount of 10% bringing the price down to $54.00.

Weighing in at 3.1 GB, the game is published by Spike Chunsoft and has a free demo available on the eShop for immediate download. Here’s the official description from Nintendo’s page along with some screenshots:
