Amazon is set to launch a new animated anthology series on its Prime Video streaming service, featuring original stories set in various video game worlds such as Spelunky and Amazon’s New World.
The series, reportedly titled Secret Level, is being developed by Tim Miller and Blur Studio, known for their work on Netflix’s Love, Death & Robots.
Similar to Netflix’s anthology series, Secret Level will showcase original short stories within existing video game universes, offering a unique and immersive viewing experience.
While the specific games to be featured have not been disclosed, sources suggest titles like Spelunky, New World, and several PlayStation games will make appearances.
The official reveal for Secret Level is expected to take place during Gamescom Opening Night Live, starting on Tuesday, August 20th at 7pm BST.
Following the success of the live-action Fallout TV show, Amazon aims to deliver another hit with Secret Level, setting high expectations for the upcoming animated series.
