Here are the answers for today’s Connections, game #433:

  • YELLOW: SPOKEN COMMUNICATION – DIALECT, LANGUAGE, SPEECH, TONGUE
  • GREEN: CANOODLE – FRENCH, KISS, MAKE OUT, NECK
  • BLUE: FIRST AID KIT ITEMS – BANDAGE, DRESSING, SCISSORS, TAPE
  • PURPLE: HOUSE STYLES – COTTAGE, CRAFTSMAN, PRAIRIE, RANCH

  • My rating: Easy
  • My score: Perfect

This particular game was relatively easy, even by recent Connections standards, which have been leaning towards simplicity. Surprisingly, I managed to solve the supposedly challenging purple group first – with a bit of assistance. The familiarity with house styles from a recent NYT word game, Strands, helped me breeze through CRAFTSMAN, COTTAGE, and RANCH. PRAIRIE required a bit more thought but fit in naturally.

The remaining groups didn’t pose much difficulty either, allowing me to make swift progress and save further contemplation for another day.
