Atooi’s Switch Game Hatch Tales Is Finished, But It’s Been Delayed Again

We’ve got some exciting news for fans eagerly awaiting the release of Hatch Tales on the Nintendo Switch.

Developer Atooi, led by Jools Watsham, has officially completed development, as announced in the latest Kickstarter update. However, there has been a slight setback with one last-minute delay due to a busy month. The team is now on the verge of submitting the game to Nintendo for final approval, so stay tuned for more updates:

“Once Hatch Tales receives the green light from Nintendo, we will provide an update on the final release date.”

Watsham acknowledges that Hatch Tales was initially scheduled to launch on the 23rd of August 2024 and apologizes for the recent delay. He understands that this last-minute setback may be disappointing to fans but expresses gratitude for their patience.

If you’re curious about the game’s progress, a “developer deep dive” was shared in June, showcasing the first six levels of Hatch Tales. In the latest backer update, Jules also offered a sneak peek at one of the bonus “Chibi-Mudds” levels inspired by Mutant Mudds.

As previously known as ‘Chicken Wiggle Workshop,’ this title was crowdfunded back in early 2018 with an initial estimated delivery date of December 2018.
