In a recent interview with GamesRadar+, Final Fantasy 16 director Hiroshi Takai hinted at the possibility of future series entries launching on PC simultaneously with console releases. This news comes ahead of the upcoming PC debut of Final Fantasy 16, set to arrive next month.

Takai expressed the team’s eagerness to deliver the PC version of Final Fantasy 16 to players as soon as possible. He emphasized the importance of not delaying the release and noted that the time spent on porting the game to PC was worthwhile.

Addressing the potential for future Final Fantasy games to release simultaneously on PC and consoles, Takai stated, “I think it’s possible – probably even likely.” However, he clarified that each project team has the autonomy to determine its own release policy.
