Fishing Tips for Success in Fields of Mistria
Fishing plays a crucial role in the world of Fields of Mistria, whether you’re completing quests or working towards filling up the museum. However, finding the right fish can be quite a challenge. To help you out, we have put together a comprehensive guide on how to fish successfully in the game.
Fish Shadow Sizes in Fields of Mistria
Each fish in the game comes in different sizes, which can make it easier for you to identify and catch them. These sizes include small, medium, large, and giant, each with distinct shadow sizes. It may be tricky to differentiate between small and medium or medium and large fish at first, but with practice, you’ll get better at recognizing them.
If you’re on the hunt for a specific fish, especially a rare giant one, you can try leaving and returning to the map where it’s located to refresh the spawns until you spot the correct shadow size.
Complete Fish List in Fields of Mistria
Although the in-game almanac mentions 111 fish, in reality, there are only 109 unique fish to catch. The remaining two entries are for catching trash items like wood and fiber while fishing.
Additionally, there are four Legendary fish—Cherry Fish, Leaf Fish, Lightning Fish, and Snow Fish—that you can only catch after reaching fishing level 30 and activating the “Legendary” skill. Keep an eye out for in-game notifications indicating the presence of these Legendary fish so that you can be prepared to reel them in.
Some players believe that Lightning Fish and Snow Fish are more likely to appear during storms and blizzards, respectively. However, since the game descriptions only mention “rainy” and “snowy” days, we recommend sticking to those conditions for better chances of encountering these special fish.
You can find a detailed list of all the fish available in Fields of Mistria below. Just like the in-game almanac, we have arranged them alphabetically for easier reference.
